MAHATMA To Support SHADOWS FALL In Korea
February 7, 2008Korea's long-running '80s Bay Area-style thrash metal practitioners MAHATMA have been confirmed as the support act for SHADOWS FALL on March 5 at Sangsangmadang in Seoul, South Korea.
Commented MAHATMA in a statement: "It's an honor and great opportunity for us to support SHADOWS FALL. They have raised the standard for metal and have been nominated for the 48th Grammy Awards for 'Best Metal Performance' and have a strong chance in winning the category this year / 50th Grammy Awards. We can't wait to see them live again because the last time they played here, they made our neck ache caused by endless headbanging. We love all of their shits and we are very proud to be their label mates in Korea."
As previously reported, MAHATMA will have its latest, critically acclaimed opus, "Perseverance", released in Japan on May 21 through Soundholic Records. The Japanese version of the CD will contain two bonus tracks: "Nothing to Take" (taken from the band's first album) and a cover of TESTAMENT's "Practice What You Preach".
MAHATMA will tape its first Korean national TV appearance on February 11-12. If you live in Korea and want to be part of the show, go to this location for more information.
